Updated November 16, 2010

We're getting ready to separate this web site into Mark Nauseef site and Miroslav Tadic site within the next few weeks. We found that it was getting to be confusing to many people, especially the ones who were looking for information about just one of us. Of course, all of the info about our numerous collaborative projects and plans will be presented on both web sites. In the meantime, here are the latest news and concert dates:

"Arcana V" has just been released. This book, which is volume five of a series of books edited by John Zorn, features writings by many musicians including Meredith Monk, Fred Frith, Pauline Oliveros, Alvin Curran, Gavin Bryars, Mark Nauseef and others.

Mark has just completed work on a DVD with composer and laptop specialist Ikue Mori. The DVD features animation by Mori with music by Mori, Nauseef and the virtuoso singer Makigami Koichi. The DVD, produced by John Zorn, will be released February 1, 2011 on the Tzadik label.

Miroslav Tadic completed the soundtrack for a Croatian feature film "72 dana" which premiered at the Pula International Film Festival in Croatia in late July winning the First Prize from the audience.

A new compilation produced by Bill Laswell and soon to be released on Metastation Records features Nauseef on a track with Persian singer Sussan Deyhim and Turkish ney master Kudsi Erguner. Others on the project include Carlos Santana, John Mclaughlin, Alice Coltrane, Pharoah Sanders and the Dali Lama.

Miroslav's printed music is now published by the prestigious Doberman-Yppan Editions. His chamber music and pieces for solo guitar are available. His new CD with the legendary Croatian actor Rade Serbedzija "Ponekad dolazim, ponekad odlazim" will be released by Croatia records in late November.

We also included a dance from Turkey. The CD was released in Macedonia in October of 2004, and we're working on European and North American distribution.

During the summer of 2005, Miroslav was asked to join The Grande Mothers Reinvented, a group dedicated to performing the music of Frank Zappa. The band features Don Preston (keyboards, vocals), Roy Estrada (bass, vocals) and Napoleon Murphy Brock (lead vocals, woodwinds), who spent many years playing with Zappa and were all a part of Mothers of Invention at one point or another (Estrada is a founding member of that group). Today these legendary musicians, along with the drummer Chris Garcia, play Zappa's music with tremendous passion, dedication and experience, so Miroslav joined them in October. After several months of intensive rehearsals, the group played its first concerts with Miroslav in Los Angeles and on a tour of Norway in April 2006, followed by a tour of the Balkans in November. Live CD is in the making.

Nauseef recently performed with the Kudsi Erguner Ensemble at the Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall in Istanbul, Turkey.
