OLD NEWS:

2004.11.09_ So, on this past election day, I was listening to various news in the afternoon hearing that record number of people were showing up to vote. I was actually very excited that there were so many people who actually cared and I felt that change was imminent. But this record number of voters voted for . . . Bush. How in the world can that be?? Does that make any sense?? My friend actually received an email the day before, saying that when she went and voted early for all democrats, when she double checked the electronic results, guess what, it said that she voted for Bush! She immediately complained and got it straightened out, reported the incident to democratic election committee, who told her that they've been getting many of the same complaints and that they are looking into it. So what did happen?? Is it a coincidence that electronic voting machines manufactured by republican supporters were spitting out votes in favor of Bush?? And why aren't people talking about this?? Well, I just hope that this planet can take another four years of Bush... Of course it will never be the same afterwards but I'm crossing my fingers.

2004.09.26_ After a long summer, I finally got to take a break and went backpacking to Sykes hot springs in Big Sur. It was great!! The hike is tough but it's well worth it. Wish I could just live out there... Well, coming back to civilization, I hate to see that the headline news is about a new pro-Bush ad trying to discredit Kerry... People are getting kidnapped and blasted away in Iraq and War Lords rule much of Afghanistan, while more and more Muslims grow to hate the Americans. Draft in 2005? A bill in the senate and the congress probably mean that they are working on it - please do all you can to stop this nightmare!!
But personally I'd like to see Bush and Kerry talk more about North Korea - which is a real seriously dangerous threat and unlike Saddam, they actually got nuclear weapons. And the reason that they insist that they need nukes? It's because they feel they are threatened by the U.S.!! Wasn't the whole problem with Saddam that he felt threatened by the U.S.? What about the other nations like Iran, Syria, Pakistan and Lybia? Are we missing something here?? Why can't we all feel safe at home? I think I know the answer but better not to go there...
Well I just wanted to say that hot spring was great and I hate to see all these political nonsense keep our lives insecure and make us work like bunch of ants...
